Julia Lysén
Julia Lysén is a Swedish artist, based in Stockholm, Sweden. When she isn’t painting, she is working as a project manager.
“Painting is what I turn to for meditation and when I need to relax. Being creative has always been a part of me, but during the past two years it’s been more present than ever before.”
She started creating art when she was in a long-distance relationship and had to focus on something except being away from the one she loved. Creating art was like meditation that kept her calm.
Different Techniques and Motives
“In my creation, I try not to set any boundaries for myself, but allow me to try different techniques and different motives. I feel like its helping me to be more curious, both as an artist and in life.”
Getting her inspiration from architecture, nature and shapes of different kinds, Julia describes art with the following words: Harmonious, sober and curious.
“To me art is a way to communicate and express myself. I believe that the art I create always finds its meaning somewhere. Art generates different kinds of emotions. Through that, I believe it always finds it’s meaning somewhere.”
