From her home in London, content creator and illustrator Poppy Almond creates compelling content for a range of brands and her personal Instagram profile that showcases her unique style and creativity. In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring the best matcha spots in town, a hobby she is particularly passionate about. Weekends often find her in the company of friends, visiting art galleries, frequenting her favourite local pubs and taking long walks with her beloved dog, Bambino.

No two days are the same for Poppy. Each begins with a coffee and often some form of exercise, such as running or Reformer Pilates. Her work spans creating content to handling administrative tasks, depending on the day’s weather. On quieter days, she can be found at ceramic studios, honing her skills. “I spend my lunch break walking my dog, which gives me a nice break from my phone or computer,” she notes.

Her home is a delightful blend of Scandinavian design and vintage English charm. “I think I have quite a few different interior styles mixed throughout my flat,” she says of her eclectic taste. She enjoys juxtaposing contemporary pieces with unique vintage pieces and while she loves colour, she also appreciates a minimal interior. She achieves this balance by incorporating subtle pops of colour throughout her home.

Residing in a Victorian tenement building, her apartment boasts many old features. “I was set on moving somewhere with wooden floors and big windows, so when I found my flat, I instantly fell in love,” she explains. The building’s charm is complemented by a roof terrace—a rare find in central London—and she makes the most of this space, enjoying her morning coffee outdoors whenever possible.

Her creativity extends to her home décor. In her small one-bedroom flat, she values art posters that are not too overwhelming yet fill the space perfectly and infuse it with colour. “I love the curated mix of photography and painterly designs on the art prints I have chosen to decorate my walls,” she says. Among her collection are pieces by Sofia Lind, one of her favourite artists.

“I chose the Man and Dog print due to my love for dogs. It’s in the centre of my lounge and I love how striking it is in the 70 x 100 cm size. Living in a small one-bedroom flat means I am often limited on space and I think the neutral colours in this print work perfectly.”
