The kiss of Mulholland Drive
Photo art print by Francois Fontaine. Printed on 245 g fine art paper from Hahnemüle. From the series ‘Silenzio!’, 2012.
“It is a photographic essay on the cinema, on the images of cinema of the 40’s in today. Images drawn from color movies realized by French and foreign film-makers from whom the symbolic movies distinguish themselves by the magic of their lights, the elegance of their sets and the beauty of their interpreters. It is a work where the images of movies are extracted from their original support and diverted from their initial context. An analysis on the feelings and the questioning which they create when they are shown as photos. A reflection on the memory, the dream and the fantasy.”
