Passepartout
The passepartout — the breathing room around your print
A passepartout (or matboard) is the bevelled paper border that sits between the print and the frame. Its job is quiet but important: it gives the artwork room to breathe, keeps the paper from touching the glass, and gives the framed piece a more considered, gallery-feeling finish.
Our passepartouts are cut to fit our frames and our art prints precisely, so the proportions work out without guesswork. They are a small detail that changes the whole feel of a framed piece — the difference between a print on the wall and a print presented well.
