Ästhet
ÄSTHET is the Hannover-based design studio founded by Anne Schäfer. The German word Ästhet describes someone with a strong sense of beauty and harmony, which she sees as the perfect term for her minimalistic, balanced and abstract artworks. With both parents architects, art was a natural part of her childhood through museums and exhibitions. Nature remains her main source of inspiration, especially her allotment, a Swedish-looking garden house and green retreat in the middle of the city.

About Ästhet
Anne Schäfer is the founder of ÄSTHET, a design studio based in Hannover, Germany.
“The German word Ästhet describes a person who has a strong sense of beauty and harmony. And that’s the perfect word to describe my work and my striving to create minimalistic, balanced and abstract artworks.”
Artistic Childhood
Schäfer’s parents, who are both architects, took her and her brother to museums and art exhibitions when they were young. So art has always been a consistent and natural part of her life.
And it has especially been nature that has ignited her inspiration.
“My main source of inspiration is nature. My calm and happy place to create at home is my allotment, a Swedish-looking garden house, a green place in the middle of the city where I get inspired by the beautiful details that nature offers me.”
