Riikka Kantinkoski

Riikka Kantinkoski’s artistic expression is rooted in a deep appreciation for nature, quiet moments and the beauty of everyday life. Working across photography, styling and design, she creates poetic compositions that capture the delicate balance between simplicity and emotion.

Based in Helsinki, Riikka spent fourteen years working as a photographer before establishing her own creative practice, collaborating with brands and magazines in Finland and abroad. She is also known for her long-running lifestyle platform Weekday Carnival and for creating posters, jewellery and textile works under the name RK Design.

Nature
Nature remains a constant source of inspiration in her work. Wildflowers, changing seasons and fleeting moments are translated into serene visual narratives that evoke a sense of calm and familiarity. Through photography, printmaking and design, Riikka seeks to preserve the beauty of things that are often overlooked, inviting the viewer to slow down and reconnect with the world around them.

Her works are characterised by a restrained Nordic aesthetic, where soft silhouettes, organic forms and subtle details come together to create compositions that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
