Handcrafted and hand-painted in Romania by Ana Gurduza, The Dreamer is a ceramic relief depicting a figure looking into the eyes of a bird. That is all. He simply looks. And in that gaze gathers the joy of flight.
To look becomes an act of attention, a way of acknowledging presence. Between human and nature, an invisible thread begins to form.
The work draws on a recurring idea in Ana’s practice, a space between water and sky, unseen yet deeply felt. Between sea and sky there is no edge, only a breath, where the human figure learns how to be.
Part of a series of ceramic Wall Objects, The Dreamer centres on stillness, attention and a sense of being suspended between two states.
